Port Defiance Zoo’s Sumatran tiger cubs made their debut on the Today Show this morning. They were born on May 25, 2010.

If you are having a bad day and love cats, the video is guaranteed to make you smile. The zoo is ecstatic about the births because Sumatran tigers are critically endangered. Only 74 Sumatran tigers live in captivity. About 250 live in the wild.
The cubs’ mother is Jaya. This is her first litter, and two of her three cubs survived. One is male, and the other female. You can vote for names for the cubs on the zoo’s web site.
The cubs’ papa is Bali, who sadly has cancer.
Beautiful images of the tigers. Great photography.
Thanks, Geoff. The photos were taken by the zoo.
My personal favorite photo of a Sumatran tiger is “Bad Boy of the Forest” by Thomas Mangelsen.
