October 28: Wear Purple to Express Your Commitment to End Domestic Violence
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Our color is purple.
On Friday, October 28, I will hope you will join me in wearing purple. The idea for Dress to Express your commitment to end domestic violence was created by Between Friends, a shelter in Chicago, IL.
My hope is that Dress to Express will go global. Between Friends will be posting photos of people wearing purple on their Facebook page in November. You can join the Dress to Express party on Facebook by e-mailing your photos to Colleen Norton at Between Friends:
cnorton@betweenfriendschicago.org
Please ask your friends, family, and colleagues to join the Dress to Express party on Friday. If you have a blog or web site or Facebook account, please republish this post.
Survivor Michele Weldon is on Between Friends’ advisory board. Bravo, Between Friends! Bravo!

This was a track-back that I have edited because I think my readers should check out Ms. Hennecy’s site: Orange Blossom Wishes
Also, I encourage you to watch the video of her appearance on the Tampa News.
